Meet Brooke Aherne, LCPC

Brooke Aherne graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Mental Health Counseling. It is deeply rewarding for Brooke to help clients develop confidence, embrace their inner strength, and live with hope and possibility. She feels honored to be entrusted with her clients’ stories, welcomed into their lives, and given the opportunity to support them on their healing journeys.
Brooke’s counseling is rooted in creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space. Developing a trusting therapeutic relationship is an important factor for Brooke so that clients feel safe to be fully seen and heard. She also can integrate faith into the counseling process, when requested. Brooke’s primary therapeutic framework is EMDR, and she employs this evidence-based approach to help clients process difficult experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move toward growth and freedom.
Clients can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where they are treated with respect, empathy, and genuine curiosity. Brooke helps clients build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and gain confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges. Brooke’s goal for treatment is for clients to leave each session feeling empowered and confident in their ability to grow and persevere.
