Meet Michelle Nnorom, LCPC
Practicing since: 2006
Michelle Nnorom graduated from Bellevue University with a Master’s degree in Human Services. Throughout her time as a counselor, she has seen how strong clients are, even when they are going through difficult times. That resilience and strength that clients gain from facing their inner struggles is deeply inspiring to Michelle.
Michelle takes a collaborative approach to treatment and appreciates that clients are experts in their own lives. By working with their vulnerabilities and drawing on her resources, she helps clients recognize their strengths and identify new ones. Michelle utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to help clients grow. She encourages clients to develop practical skills, build confidence in their abilities, and create meaningful change that extends beyond their therapy sessions.
Clients can expect a relaxed, genuine atmosphere with Michelle. She recognizes strengths and areas of growth while gently challenging clients, when necessary, to help them think differently. She also incorporates practical tools to allow clients to take what they’ve learned and apply it in their daily lives. Ultimately, Michelle strives to help each client become the healthiest, most authentic version of themselves possible within their current circumstances.
Michelle Nnorom, LCPC, is licensed in the state of Maryland (#LC4442), DC (#PRC15029), and Virginia (#0701007482).
