Meet Jackelyn Knight, LCSW-C
Practicing Since: 2019
With a client-centered and empowered approach, Jackelyn can help you navigate life’s difficult moments, adjustments, and stressors through psycho-education, skill building, therapeutic support/feedback, interpersonal resolutions, structured problem-solving, supportive reflection, and symptom management. CBT is her main approach when working with clients needing improvement with anxiety, overthinking, depression, and self-image/confidence. Jackelyn uses solution-focused therapy to help clients find/process their strengths and qualities improving self-awareness and problem-solving with skills they currently have and can improve upon. If you are looking to build self-esteem, reduce anxiety, depression, or other mental distress, work through trauma, strengthen coping mechanisms, or improve familial, social, and community functioning Jackelyn wants to help support you on the journey.
Jackelyn believes that mental health is just as important as physical health. All the aspects of self (mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual) work together to create a balanced mind and body. When one is out of balance, it will throw off the whole self. The therapeutic process is a collaborative effort among the client and therapist to create an environment for self-reflection, self-improvement, and self-empowerment. The client and therapist work together to find solutions that work with the clientβs strengths and qualities to improve the clientβs overall well-being.
Jackelyn is licensed in the state of Maryland (#28114).
