Meet Grace Oke, LMSW

“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.” – Shannon L. Adler Grace Oke graduated from Morgan State University with a Master’s degree in Social Work. Β She was inspired to pursue a career in mental health counseling to provide meaningful support to individuals during vulnerable or transitional periods of their lives. Grace is passionate about helping clients navigate difficult experiences, uncover their strengths, and build resilience to create lasting change. Certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, Grace integrates evidence-based strategies into her work, tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs of each client. She specializes in areas including trauma, rehabilitation, and intimate partner violence, helping clients process their experiences while fostering self-awareness, emotional regulation, and personal growth. Clients working with Grace can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment, where they are encouraged to explore their emotions, develop practical coping skills, and gain clarity on the steps forward. She believes that meaningful change is possible when individuals are met with empathy, structure, and guidance. Grace Oke, LMSW, is licensed in the state of Maryland (#18716) and is under the clinical supervision of JaVon Townsend, LCSW-C (#18669).
